Each client will begin with a free 10–20 min phone screening to determine if our services can meet your needs and pair you with the best provider.

Initial Session

This 60-90 min session is all about getting to know you. It may include a review of your history and current concerns, as well as a discussion of your goals for your time with your provider. Some providers may require this session for any new client or any client returning after an extended absence (3+ months).

Diagnostic Assessment

In general, a medical diagnosis is only beneficial in certain circumstances, such as for billing insurance or accessing other services such as disability services. For this reason, we only provide a medical diagnosis if requested or if needed for one of these situations. This session is 60-90 minutes and looks the same as an initial consultation, but will also include completion of assessment measures and discussion around areas needed to fulfill requirements.

Individual Therapy

These sessions are 45-60 minutes in length and are 1:1. They can be held with anyone age 13+. For clients 12 and under, sessions may include individual time 1:1 with a child but may also include parent consultation/training sessions at the discretion of the provider. Therapy with children NEVER happens without guardian involvement of some kind.

Letter for Gender Affirming Surgery

Some of our providers are experienced in writing letters for approval for gender-affirming surgery. This requires a 1-2 hour 1:1 session where we discuss the required components and your history. If appropriate, the provider will write a letter and mail it to you and/or your provider at no additional cost. The session can be billed to insurance.

Parent Consultation/Training

These sessions are 45-60 minutes in length and are a meeting with a parent alone or with a parent and child as decided by the therapist. Sessions focus on things like parenting skill-building and techniques, supporting around a particular problem, education for parents, and processing parent’s own feelings around the child and presenting issues.

Court-Ordered Services

We provide sessions for court-ordered clients. Providers will complete the necessary paperwork and/or check-ins with P.O.s for an additional out-of-pocket expense. Rates vary depending on requirements. Sessions are billable to insurance.

Letter for Emotional Support Animal

Sometimes a letter for an emotional support animal is requested for housing. Some of our providers may write such a letter for established clients only (ongoing for 3+ months) at a small additional charge. We will NEVER write letters without an established ongoing relationship.

Group Therapy

Group work has been shown to be effective in many instances. Groups include 3-10 other participants and vary in timing and frequency depending on the subject. Groups often include education, support, and/or skill-building.
